For the past several years, Jamey and Netta Sampley and their family have been doing the ministry of "Family Builders".
Seeing the need to strengthen their own family, the Sampleys began spending designated time each week directly involved with their children; creating fun ways to develop an appetite for God, and instilling life-building principles from Scripture.
Because of this need to strengthen the parent-child relationship, other families joined with the Sampleys.
With these other families came an even greater significance to the "Family Builders" ministry. They began to "spur one another on towards good deeds," and "encourage one another," as the scriptures state in Hebrews 10:24,25.
Thus, simple but unique ministry was born where families became accountable to one another (without even realizing it). Amid busy days, hectic schedules, crying babies, troubled teens, strained marriages, and much more, the refuge of the "Family Builders" ministry becomes a "looked-forward-to" event for the entire family.
In addition to the "Family Builders" ministry at Grace Heartland Church, the Sampleys have had the privilege of sharing family building concepts in other churches and missionary organizations in the following ways:
- Family Building seminars and workshops
- Evangelism
- Leadership training workshops on the mission field
- Planting "Family Builder" programs
