The Family Life Center at Grace Heartland Church opened in early 2006. This 43,000 square foot facility is multi-purpose consisting of a fully functional commercial kitchen, gymnasium, 200 seat chapel, state of the art Student Complex, Children’s Ministry area, various classrooms and office space.
The FLC is humming with scheduled activities throughout the week. Various sports programs held in the gymnasium can be found most days and evenings. Our Upward Sports Program began in 2006 with much success. Scheduled open gym, adult basketball and volleyball, softball and more are all provided to strengthen the family.
The multi-purpose area includes a full-size gymnasium that also can serve as a dining area for large groups. Many banquets, receptions and special events are held there. The Children’s Ministry area is located on the 2nd floor of the FLC. Children will discover a unique atmosphere designed to build a foundation of Christ in their lives. It is our prayer that every child comes to know Jesus Christ. At the entrance of the children’s area, you will find a check-in procedure to give you confidence of security while your children are with our staff and volunteers during our weekend services and W.O.W., our children’s midweek ministry. During the weekdays, the children’s area is occupied by Heart and Soul Preschool, which also offers an after-school program.
The chapel in our FLC is a beautiful 200 seat sanctuary designed for comfort during various ministries, such as weddings, workshops and other special events complete with A/V. Our Family Builders Ministry meets there each month.
The Student Ministry wing in the FLC consists of various offices, classrooms, and the CORE, our 350 seat student center designed specifically for student’s grades 6-12. This area includes a lounge, televisions with X-boxes, internet lab, and kitchen access. The stage area is state-of-the-art complete with video, audio and lighting. Our student led worship team leads in praise and worship during Sunday evening “Deep End” service for students. “Wednesday Night Alive” is a fun-filled mid-week event offered during the school year. There are scheduled concerts with Christian artists and many other opportunities provided for out students to grow in Christ. (Be sure to check out our City on a Hill website.)
