GHC Kids, for children age 3 - grade 5
As leaders and parents our primary calling is not to keep our children in the church but to lead them to be the church. The best gift we can give our children is to enable them to play an active role in God’s story of restoration and redemption. If what they hear doesn’t move from their heads to their hands it will never make it to their hearts. With that in mind, GHC Kids seeks to bring the church and the family together to help children grow to love Jesus passionately, love others unconditionally, and love people sacrificially. GHC Kids is located on the 2nd floor of the Family Life Center.
Children are a gift from God. We want to provide our parents with the security of knowing that their child/children will be loved and well cared for. All ministry leaders who work with children are background checked, and we have a secure check-in system. We have chosen Check-Ins by Planning Center as our check-in solution to bring you the best check-in experience and to allow us to partner with you to keep your children safe.

The Parent Cue is a helpful resource for you to use when discipling your children in the home. This resource allows you to see what we will be teaching the children on Sunday mornings all month long, and offers some suggestions of things you can do with your children as we work together to help our children grow to love God passionately, love one another unconditionally, and love the lost sacrificially. God Time Cards:
Help your children have some “God time” each week with these God Time Cards. There are four different devotions on each God Time card. These devotions are designed to help your children take what they learned on Sunday and go deeper. Each devotion is designed to be done on a different day and includes: 1) a verse(s) to read, 2) a devotion paragraph that teaches something about God and an explanation of today’s verse(s), 3) an activity that makes real-life application of the day’s devotion, and 4) a suggested prayer.
Even though kids in early elementary (kindergarten through 3rd grade) are beginning to read things on their own, most are not mature enough to have a God time by themselves. Parents do this devotional with your children. It is a great opportunity to model for them what it looks like to have “God time”. Encourage kids to choose four different days during the week to do these devotions. Most 4th and 5th graders are capable of having a “quiet time” on their own, once they’ve been taught how to do it, but they still need an adult to prompt them and/or follow up on.
